At the origins of it all there's the the metal while at the basis of the labour, there are the drawing and the entire project, made together with the client. These are the pillars on which Bottega Giovanelli founds on. Theories and studies, support and good preparation before starting the engraving.

The drawing comes first in the entire process, and a great drawer has to be necessarily a good engraver that knows very well all the techniques, the tools and the issues connected to each technique. Only in this way one can build a solid base for the development of what comes next.

There aren't any impossible requests because we always find the proper solution for any client's demand giving the guarantee of the products quality, from the less expensive one to the most valuable one.

All this becomes possible due to the great experience we're gathering as each year goes by , and to the perfect knowledge of tools and technologies, from the wisdom transmitted by the hands to the metal. This represents an advantage not all companies can boast with, a big value that allows a focussed and personalized study down to the smallest detail and always at the highest quality.

The Engraving Culture as part of Great Craftsmanship is able to make possible the fusion of creativity and planning, instinct and continuous studying.

So that such high way of working and metal objects decoration doesn't get lost, the Cesare Giovanelli Bottega Engravings hosts a small school for the formation of future engravers. This is a possibility of learning a new job, passing it further on to the next generation, available only for just a few persons every year (3-4), with no diplomas and totally free of charge.

The departments

One big difference between Bottega Engravings and other companies is the number of employees: 25 engravers, 5 master engravers and about 45/50 people in the rest of the departments:

  • Department of Study, Projects and Final Drawings connected with all other departments.
  • Handmade Engraving Department.
  • Rolling Department
  • Golden Department: further finishing by electrolyte plug.
  • Incisori Bresciani for Photoengraving and Laser Rays
  • Cleaning and preparation department, another internal service that takes care of the final stage of the product. The cleaning department offers the service of first skimming of basic metal in order to get to the final finishing and prepare it for engraving. A second final cleaning shall be done and together with the last test the product has the guarantee of a complete work and a high quality.

Bottega Engravings C. Giovanelli is made up by an awarded great team, having its own responsible in each department, in order to guarantee the maximum quality of the final product and the possibility to reach a number of products, from the smallest (unique pieces) to the bigger one (serial production)
